Christmas

Ah, the joyous day of gift-giving is past, but it's memories and presents remain behind. This year we were pleased to invite the Scott and Laura Rackham clan over, and fun was had by all. My parents warned us beforehand that due to the awesome ski trip we were having post-Christmas (I am posting this from my cabin here in Keystone. I can confirm that it is, indeed, awesome.) the presents might not be as many as in years prior. Fortunately that word hadn't gotten to the Big Man.
I had been making it known to my parents that I wanted Rock Band very badly, and that it would be the height of Christmas awesomeness to receive it. I am happy to say that when I unwrapped a particularly big box I found Rock Band 2 Special Edition inside. My joy was dampened when I say the Play-Station 3 labeled on it. At first I got my hopes up (Could it be?) but then they were crushed when my brilliant mother took on a look of sorrow, "What? I thought that it would work on all systems. Well, that's too bad, I guess Santa made a mistake, we'll take it to the store to have it exchanged tommorrow. I'm sorry guys." Due to the genuine appearence of my mother's act I forgot how brilliant my parents were, and was ready to have that had ruined my whole Christmas. In truth, I even took to the internet to find out if Wal-Mart was open and could exchange. Happily, no such exchange was needed. A Play-Station 3 was found in another box. This also explained the mystery of the Blu-Ray disks that we had unwrapped previously, as PS3s can play Blu-Ray. Among other presents was a Rip-Stik for Chase and I (Thank you Uncle Paul!), A iPod Nano with Nike Fit for Dunn, some Blu-Ray movies, and 2 PS3 games, not including Rock Band.
Rock Band was the star of the cousins trip down, as it was enjoyed by all. I found myself the band's main guitarist (Chase and Davis tried, but couldn't really get the hang of it. For when I was tired of playing Katie or Clayton would fill in, when they weren't singing), Dunn the band's main drummer (a position tried by most, but Dunn was the best), and an assortment of siblings and cousins tried their hands at the singing, with Clayton being the main one. I would tire myself telling the tale of how we rocked Europe, and as soon as we get back, the rest of the world, but as they say, a movie is worth a thousand words.

Sick

So yesterday, I awoke at 2:50 in the morning, went to my bathroom, and relieved myself the burden of last night's meal. Though my mouth. Between pukes, I looked and saw Dunn getting out of his bed and heading towards the hall. I though he was going to go tell mom, so when I was finished I followed him, and saw him puking over another toilet. What a coincidence. So I spent the rest of the night sleeping 30min-1hr intervals and puking between them. The day stunk, with puking ruling out church for the day. Fortunately I am feeling much better, and will probably be whole upon Christmas Eve, when the Rackham cousins are coming over.

Grandparents

So today, I was wondering how it was that my active grandma is married to my sweet giving grandpa, and my active grandpa is married to my sweet giving grandma. Isn't that odd? Well, maybe opposites attract. So now I'm wondering if it's like that with every pair... which will Mom be? And Dad?

P.S. Thats sweet giving, because they give sweets, not sweet and giving, because all my grandparents are sweet
P.P.S. Thats active as in physically active, not active in the Church. All of my Grandparents are LDS

Optimism

Okay, so for QUEST, I have to write a 4-5 minute long speech on the subject of: To Me, Optimism is... And I must say, this Optimism speech is making me quite pessimistic about it, as it has to be done by Tuesday. If any of you have any cool optimism quotes or thoughts, please comment.

Concerning Hobbits

Well, I don't really like the current template of my blog as much as I would like to like it, and I have this really cool one of the Shire, but as soon as I put it up, it wiped out my little handy-dandy little quick edit system that I love so very very much. So sadly, the Shire must go...

A Song, and Some Comments

To the tune of "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer"

Edit, the shiny new blog
(New blog)
Edit it until it glows
(Like my mom's one)
And if you care to notice
(Notice)
You would even say it changes
(Like my own mind)

Hello blogger who probably reads my mom's blog! I will be fiddling with this not-so-shiny new blog until satisfied, so don't be surprised when things start to change. Actually, this is my blog V 1.1, as the one I tried to make spazzed out on me.

Blogtastic

Blogtastic! Whaahahahahahaha! Perseverance really does pay off! Here I am now with my new blog... so shiny..... it's got that new blog smell...
